Err and classic children books have a certain charm you cannot explain to anyone yet they hook many people with different ages. All these stories have all that could spur the imagination of the reader and make that person a lover of books. Whether you are beginning to read books to your child or are reminiscing your childhood by reading the ones that shaped your childhood these books should be on every bookshelf.


 

Charlotte's Web by E.B. White

 

An inspirational and heartwarming story, Charlotte’s Web is a full and simple narrative of friendship and loyalty with relation to Wilbur – the pig and Charlotte the spider. This little narrative has a lot of moral values delivered in form of pro- kindness, non self-serving and the grace of being true friends.

 

2. The lion, the witch and the wardrobe by C.S Lewis

 

Journey to the land of Narnia and follow the adventures of four children trying to save this world from the terrible witch. A rip roaring tale that could be categorized under a subgenre of Sword and Sorcery with certainly presenting rather courage focused storyline with elements of sacrifice.

 

3. The children’s picture book Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak

 

A wordless picture book for young children, this is a brief but visually effective story about Max who travels to the land of Wild Things and discovers emotions as well as value of home. The book is full of lively illustrations and realistic concepts making it an ideal book for kids.

 

4. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

 

This humorous story of Alice in the Wonderland that lists to the right, and other silly things, is a pure example of imagination and creativity. It will remain popular for children and adults as well it has not lost its charm due to its humorous tone and strange characters.

 

5. One Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown

 

Safe for bedtime reading, this sweet rhyming volume presents a calming routine for children. The straightforward vocabulary in combination with the rhyme pattern in many of the sentences makes it enjoyable for toddler and preschool age children.

 


6. The novel is The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett.

 

This narrative of change opens with Mary Lennox and brings together two that have been concealed for many years. Despite, it being a children’s story, it features on friendship, healing, and resilience hence making it a story that comes closer to the hearts of all ages.

 

7. A novel Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery

 

Anne is a unique, temperamental, and really smart girl who dreams of having a proper family of her own and finds friends and love in the small town of Avonlea. This film is about growing up and self-acceptance, all accompanied with amazing cheerful music and breathtaking views of nature.

 

8. Winnie-the-Pooh by A.A. Milne

 

Read about further adventures of Pooh and his friends living in the Hundred Acre Wood, friendship and fun. These stories tell about childhood, friendships, good and bad and the never ending search of happiness.

 

9. Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie

 

The tale of a boy who refuses to get any older follows the story of the adventures he had in Neverland with pirates, fairies and much more. It is based on freedom and the pleasures and pains of youth and all elements and its forever memorable message all come from these ideas.

 

10. Matilda by Roald Dahl

 

The novel is based on a story of a young girl, who loves books and has quite a few tricks up her sleeves, Matilda teaches readers to stand up for themselves and their brains.
